Grant County, Indiana Sheila D. Watson, former Grant County INGenWeb Coordinator from 1998-2005, passed away on July 18, 2005. Before she died, Sheila compiled most of Grant County's tombstone inscriptions on this web site. When Sheila became ill, she left the following request.         "I have researched the following cemeteries in Table I, visited each one and recorded and indexed my findings. Table II contains the cemeteries that are not yet done. I am now asking for VOLUNTEERS to complete this project. I am now disabled and unable to go out in the cemeteries and do the work anymore. However I will work with anyone to get the others done and online. "The following table is a list of the remaining cemeteries in Grant County that I have not yet read. The readings that are listed were done by the DAR about 50 years ago. As they get done I will move them into the above table. I have placed these here because many people ask about cemeteries that I have not completed yet. I cannot attest to their accuracy but it will give you something to go on while you are waiting for them to be completed.
