The S.S. Concert – On last Monday evening a union Sunday School Concert was given under the auspices of the Crawfordsville Sunday School Association in the NSP Church. Owing to the short notice there was not as large an attendance as was expected. The exercises were opened by prayer by Elder Caldwell, President of the Association and consisted of singing by the children, interspersed with impromptu speeches by Elders Webb and Conner, Profs. Johnson and Campbell and Messrs. Kirby and Mills. The singing was led by Mr. Groendike. Miss Boynton at the instrument and was good, the sweet voices of the children swailing the full chorus with a zest. At the conclusion officers for the ensuing year were elected, as follows: President Elder WebbSec/Treas AF Wise. The superintendent of the various Sunday Schools in the city were elected Vice Presidents. It is understood another concert will be given in a few weeks. The Board of Officers meet next Monday evening at the rooms of AF Wise, to consider matters of interest.
