Of the charter members of the Christian Church of Waveland, Which was organized in November, 1867 the following are still in membership:

The understanding now is that if any one us so unfortunate as to die without means to provide for burial or some relative who will put up the money, the body is to be shipped to Indianapolis for the medical students to carve. Of course, after a person is dead he is not apt to worry about the disposition of his body, but it looks a little hard to think that those who have been short of the things of life should not be allowed sin feet of earth for a resting place after death. Is proverty a crime? If so, there are lots of criminals now and with our present economic system, there will be lots more in the future.
