Stoner Home
The Stoner Home, built by David Stoner (1806-1896) (at right), as described in the first edition (?) as follows: "... Was finished about 1852. It is built with bricks burned from clay taken from subsoil on the farm. Chapman describes the house as, "a home replete with comfort." He may have been referring to the nine fireplaces, one in each room for heating with wood fires. He may have been referri9ng to the running water from a spring fifty yards from the house.
