Mr. and Mrs. Montraville Britton have issued invitations to the marriage of their daughter, Miss Effie to Mr. Herbert Wright on the evening of the 27th at the Britton Home, 811 Melbourne Avenue. Mr. Wright is a member of the candy firm of Wright & Britton and the bride to be is the daughter of the senior member of the firm.
When you have a craving for some delicate bit of confectionery, and want the very best and choicest, you will go to Mr. HM Wright’s justly celebrated store, 126 S Green Street where experience has taught you, your desires can always be gratified. Mr. Wright has, beyond a doubt as fine a line of the most tempting confections and bonbons as will be found in any establishment. Not a particle of any adulterated ingredient is every allowed or tolerated on the premises, and perhaps that is the secret of Mr. Wright’s producing such delicious morsels of the confectioners’ art. Ice cream is made in large quantities and is furnished for all occasions. A wholesale, as well as retail business is transacted and Mr. Wright supplies a large number of dealers. His methods in conduction the business since he started last July have proven that he is a young man of more than ordinary ability, and we wish him unlimited success. He has recently purchased a very handsome soda fountain which will be in operation April 1st.

Said HM Wright last Saturday: “My father did most of the decorating of Windsor Palace in England and worked for several years in the building and some of the finest work is from his brush. In the palace at the time of the Queen’s death an oil painting of her majesty executed by my father occupied a prominent place. He has also painted several other members of the royal family and my mother has several of the portraits now at her home.

Last evening at 8 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Montraville Britton at 311 Melbourne Avenue, Rev. Martin Luther officiating in the presence of quite a number of the friends of the contracting parties, Miss Effie M. Britton was united in marriage with Mr. Herbert M. Wright of the firm of Wright & Britton, confectioners. Pearl street, a charming wedding supper followed and the marriage occasion was made one of much pleasure to all concerned. The officiating minister had, the evening before at Chicago, undergone the same sort of an agreeable experience at the marriage altar and the fervor with which he pronounced the solemn words of the marriage ritual was pleasantly marked. Mr. Wright is one of Logansport’s most energetic young business men and his bride is one of the city’s fairest daughters. There are many well wishes in this community regarding this marriage.
