The oldest manufacturing establishment in Crawfordsville is the Miller & Bro. Carriage factory on Washington and Market Streets. Their work is celebrated for its strength and excellence and the "Miller Bros." plate on a vehicle is a substantial guarantee of its worth. Their repositories are full of phaetons, carriages and buggies of all kinds and styles, buckboards, road wagons and sulkies, and not the least attractive are luxuriously cushioned Portland cutters. Albert S. Miller has one large repository where he keeps a large number of cheaper Eastern work for those who do not care for high-priced hand-made vehicles. After returning thanks to the
public for the liberal patronage bestowed upon us for the last thirteen years,
we would respectfdully call the attention of our friends and the public
generally to an inspection of our

A fine assortment and variety of which we keep
constantly on hand in our new brick show room on Wash Street, second floor. We
claim to be unsurpassed in strength and finish, using none but the best
selected well seasoned second growth timber and employing none but the most
skillful and experienced workmen. The high reputation our work has sustained in
the thirteen years past gives us confidence of our ability as Carriage Makers.
Being exclusively engaged in manufacturing only light work enables us to keep a
much finer, larger and better stock than any other house in the West. We
confidently assert tha tour work and prices cannot be excelled by any other
establishment. The continual increase in
business has made it necessary to enlarge our facilities for
manufacturing. We call special attention
to WH Ransom’s Patent Anti-Rattling Fifth Wheel. A recent invention, and the
greatest improvement ever added to a carriage buggy or spring wagon. We have the
exclusive county right. We use .. Sarver’s Patent Buggy Wheels with patent
rivet for fastening felloes, so that it
is impossible for the fello to split under any circumstance. The latest and
best improvements in Springs, Axles, Spokes & Hubs. A variety of the latest styles of Patent Tops
and finish of every kind. As we receive the Eastern styles monthly from NY and
Philadelphia we shall continue to manufacture work as reliable as heretofore.
ALL OUR WORK IS WARRANTED from one to two years. Old work taken in exchange.
REPAIRING in wood-work done to order. Blacksmithing, Painting, and Trimming
done with neatness and dispatch. We invite all to call and see as our work will
recommend itself. SUPERIOR FARM WAGONS. Our farm wagons are built expressly for
this market by Studebaker Bros of South Bend, Ind of the very best timber, and
more with the view of giving entire satisfaction to purchasers than profit to
the manufacturers or to us. We warrant
them in every particular for one year.
