Ice Cream mail delivery
E. J. Kious of the Lafayette Ice Cream Company, has been quick to see the possibilities of the parcels post law. He will deliver ice cream by parcels post this morning. It is believed that Mr. Kious is the first man in the country to plan the delivery of ice cream by mail. So taken is he with the idea that he has ordered 10,000 special containers for shipping brick ice cream. The first orders will go out today. Mr Kious promises his customers, who reside within fifty miles of Lafayette, ice cream for any meal. M.J. Runyan, of Crawfordsville, was the first to order ice cream by parcels post and it is believed that he will be the first man to receive it under the new law. The containers, which are made especially for shipping, keep the cream from melting and insure satisfactory delivery.—Lafayette Morning Journal (Jan. 1.)
