Henkel, Robert - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Robert Henkel of the Mutual Printing Company of Indianapolis formerly a resident of Crawfordsville became the owner of the Indianapolis Daily Live Stock Journal that is published at the stockyards . The Live-Stock Journal was formerly owned by Martin A. Mann, formerly well known in banking and commercial circles, of the city but now proprietor of the Imperial Hotel at Evansville. Mr. Henkel was at one time in business in Crawfordsville having owned the Crawfordsville Dispatch that became consolidated with The Journal later. From Crawfordsville he went to Brazil as owner of the Brazil Times. Lately he has been in the printing business with his brother in Indianapolis.  ---kbz
