The EA Fields Furniture Store is without question  one of the most up-to-date stores of the kind in the state. Mr. Fields began his career in the furniture line several years ago at Cresco, Iowa, later going to Hoopston, Ill where he had a furniture store. In 1918 he came to Waynetown believing this to be a good field and if we are right he has not been disappointed. When he came here he had the store room occupied by the east half of the Dwiggins’ Market. However he was later forced by the growth in business to move to the present site where he has a double room with a display of furniture and rugs which occupy two floors. The trading radius of the Fields store is unlimited and many times Mr. Fields is called upon to furnish homes many miles from Waynetown. - kbz
