Farmers & Merchants-Henry K Lee

Source: New Richmond Record 18 July 1912 p1

Henry K. Lee, a well known citizen of this county and for many years one of the leading and most highly respected businessmen of New Richmond has disposed of all his interest in this place and has accepted a position with the Farmers’ & Merchants’ Trust Company of Crawfordsville. He will be at the head of the real estate department of that company and his experience in buying and selling land and his unimpeschable integrity will make him a valuable man for the Farmers and Merchants. For several years Mr. Lee has been largely interested in the New Richmond drain tile mill which was the chief industry of this prior to its disposal a year or so ago. At that time the factor was dismantled and the machinery was taken to Colfax where Mr. Lee is interested in another large factory of the same kind. He was also interested in the hardware store here at one time. He is 47 years old, is married and the father of two grown children, a son and daughter. Mr. Lee or “Colonel” to his friends has lived here almost since the founding of the town and has many friends here who will be more than sorry to see him leave.
