Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal, 29 April 1858 p 2
To My Old Customers - partly on account of an inability to attend to my business in person, I have been induced to dispose of my Grocery establishment; and therefore am desirous to have my old customers and friends call and settle up. Many of your accounts are but trifling amounts to you, but to me (putting them all together) they amount to something considerable. My business must be settled up immediately. Please call on James Gilkey at the Auditor's office where you will be waited on in a settlement. April 22, 1858 - 3 weeks -- JOAB ELLIOTT
