Dewey - Elk Park

Source: New Richmond Record 14 Oct 1912 p 3

Philip Dewey is shipping out a lot of elk from his elk park at his home east of town. Monday he sent a consignment of eight to Rushville, Ill hauling them in hog racks and shipping them loose in stock cars. He sends another to W VA in a few days.  This yet leaves 10 head of elk in his park and our people are promised some elk meat when Mr. Dewey butchers on about Christmas time.

Philip Dewey expressed out another of his fine male elk Monday, this one being sent to West Virginia.  Mr. Dewey still has 10 head of elk in his park near his home east of town.

Philipp Dewey informs us that his big elk of his elk park is loose, but asks that the boys do not shoot him unless he gets off his farm.
