Darnell Store - Waynetown

The Darnell Bros. Store, a popular general merchandise establishment is operated by Fred & Claude Darnell, who purchased the store from Chas. Ogle back in 1907. Good grades of merchandise and groceries are handled here where two entire floors are used to display their line of goods.

The Darnell Hardware is among Waynetown’s oldest business places. Mr. Darnell and the late Biddle came into possession of the store in 1900, buying the business from Fields, Zuck & Merrell. Hal is now the sold proprietor, having bought his partner’s share in the business a few years ago. The store is one of the most up-to-date in its line to be found anywhere. - kbz
