William BURROFF has invented a Row Crop Broadcast Seeder for use in seeding cornfields for feed and fertilizer crop that seeds for 7 to 9 rows at a time and knocks off 40 acres or more in a day. He can sow rye, the grain for which the machine was invented, and clover or any other small seed for which broadcasting is indicated. The machine is principally a revolving screw mounted on a two wheeled garden tractor to lift the seed above the corn tassels where a conventional seeder wheel throws it to the 4 winds with the result that seeding can be done quickly and easily when the soil is right for seed germination. The Row Crop Seeder has been patented by Mr. Burroff and is being manufactured by Bainly Hardy Co. of Louisville, Ky. It will be on display at the coming 4-H Show next week and will be sold by the Montgomery Co Coop.
