ALLEN BROTHERS - Dry Goods
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal October 8, 1863
This dry goods firm, in Commercial Row, on Green Stret, we notice are doing a driving business this fall. They have been compelled, on account of constantly increasing business, to expand somewhat in the way of room and have leased the rooms recently occupied by Messrs. Ross & White in the Cabinet trade, which is immediately adjoining their old stand, and have had it throughly refitted. The new rooms are to be occupied by Clothing, Boots & Shoes, and gentleman's furnishing goods, exclusively. The general dry goods trade will be continued at the old stand. The Allen Brothers have also opened up a superior and well selected stock of family grocers, for the accommodation mainly of their numerous country patrons. --Typed by kbz
