Looking for Brooks......Sylvester H. BROOKS married 1) Amy STRAIGHT on January 9, 1845 in Wabash Co. and 2) Mary SHACKLEFORD on March 31, 1847. Lived in Wabash Co. until 1870's when they moved to Webster Co. Nebraska. Sylvester's sister, Lydia L. BROOKS married a Harrison SHOCKEY, of Wabash Co., who was shot to death. Does anyone have information about this family of Brooks. Their parents were Daniel H. BROOKS and Clarissa SPOOR. The parents were both dead by 1843. Don't know if they died in IN or OH. Will exchangae information on the family.

ROCKWELL, Thomas b 1784 in MA. @1804-1816 m. Elizabeth BOSTON b @1786 in PA. By 1817 family was in Franklin Co. PA where son, Thomas ROCKWELL, JR., was born January 17, 1817. The family moved to Guilford Twp. in Medina Co., OH in 1827. Elizabeth died there after 1830. In 1849, Thomas ROCKWELL, moved with his daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Ann & John HECK to Chester Twp., in Wabash Co., IN. Thomas died there sometime after 1850. ROCKWELL, Thomas, JR. was b January 17, 1817 in Franklin Co., PA. He moved with his family to Guilford Twp. Medina Co., OH in 1827. By 1837 he was in Darke/Mercer Co., OH. Known as "Uncle Thomas" he died in 1914 and was "The Oldest Living Pioneer" in Fort Recovery, OH. Many of his family migrated on to Indiana, including his father, Thomas ROCKWELL, who settled in Chester Twp. Wabash Co., IN in 1849. HECK, John was b in Wuerttemburg, Germany. His family immigrated to America and by 1827 had settled in Medina Co., OH. He m Sarah Ann ROCKWELL in 1841. Looking for descendants of John & Jane (McKEE) MINNIEAR or MINNEAR. John was the son of William & Elizabeth Minniear who settled in Shelby County OH in 1803. Jane was the daughter of Thomas & Mary (MCKIMREY) MCKEE and first appeared in Shelby County OH in 1809. John and Jane were married in Shelby County OH on 01 Jan 1829. They had the following children: J.W. (b. 1831) OH; Mary A. (b. 1835) OH; Sarah (b. 1837) OH who married Isaac N. SILVERS and Samuel Silvers; William J. (b. 11 Nov 1838) OH; Thomas A. (b. 1840 OH; Margaret E. (b. 1842) who married Samuel Silvers; and George W. (b. 1846). I do not know what year they migrated to Wabash County but it was after the birth of their last child. I am looking for information on F.E. CATTIN who settled in Wabash around 1845. Frederick married Henriette. They had one child born in Montgomery County, Ohio. F.E. and Henriette are said to be buried in Hanna Cemetery which was moved to Falls Cemetery but there are no stones for F.E. and his family. Thanks for any information.
