Descendants of John B. Stinson and Matilda Paine

John B. Stinson and family settled in the Howell Station area along the Ohio River, in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.

I can send the information about the family of Elder Benoni Stinson, who is credited with organizing The General Baptist Church, as well as their siblings and their Revolutionary War father, Elijah Brazil Stinson, who was also buried in the Old City Cemetery in Evansville. When everyone was removed from that cemetery, no one claimed Elijah's body, so it was left in what became an alley. Then in 1939, Elijah's bones were accidentally dug up. The history says that Elijah was not a good husband or father. So that could be why he was never moved. I am sure the family had probably disowned him.
