During the severe storm of last Thursday night the walls of the new ME Church which were standing in an incomplete condition were blown down and damage done to the building which is estimated it will require $2000 to repair. It is a terrible blow to the society which is new and by no means a wealthy one and it has only been by the greatest exertion they were able to raise the funds to built at first. Yet they are not discouraged but the day after they set to work to repair the damage and are determined to go forward with their building. The society has released the pastor, Mr. Buchtel from regular work and he will devote his whole attention to the business of raising funds for the church. His pulpit will be regularly supplied in his absence. The members of the society are entitled to and will no doubt receive great sympathy in their misfortune and we hope the sympathy will manifest itself in some tangible form.
