I am researching my relatives from Mentone Indiana. I live in Indianapolis and have been to the IOOF cemetery in Mentone where my GG-grandfather and GG-grandmother are buried. Thier names were Albert.B KETTERMAN 1844-1910 and Martha J. Ketterman. Albert Ketterman served in the civil war while living in York, Pennsylvania. My GG-uncle Clement and his sister Cora are buried there also although I couldn't find Cora Ketterman's stone..I am contacting you as I inherited the family album of Clement Ketterman. In this album there is not only my relatives and pictures of the homestead in Mentone(near the railroad track) and a home on a back street, but there is also a picture of Doctor Melvin Yocum who delivered my grandfather Melvin Ketterman, he was named after this doctor. My G-grandparents were William H. Ketterman and Daisy Whitmeyer(parents of Melvin). William was born in Mentone and Daisy in Roann In. They are buried in Logansport In. My G-grandfather William lived to be 96 years old and died in 1974 in Lansing Mi. I also had a GG-uncle named Ernest J. Ketterman who married Ada Pearl Emerick from the area. The last member of my family to live in Mentone was Clement Ketterman who died December 15, 1945. I am interested in how to go about finding old records of my Ketterman family and willing to share the old photo's. Thank you.
