Seeking information about my mother's birth parents. She was born in Dr. Stamet's hospital on Spy Run Ave. in Fort Wayne, IN on April 13, 1927. Her birth mother wrote the names "Shipley" and "Campbell" on some sort of certificate, which has long since disappeared. The mother was supposedly a musician who was with the Chataqua (sp?). It is believed that the father might have lived in Kosciusko County. My mother, Betty Lorraine, was adopted by Edward G. and Georgia (Hippensteel) Baker. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have been researching Sherbondys and have found my ggg grandmother, Mary, married to George Sherbondy in Kosciusko County as well as her daughter Catherine and her son Israel, who left many descendents. Mary was buried in Franklin Cemetery - she died 16 Jul 1855. Israel and Catherine are buried in the cemetery in Silver Lake. I am descended from their brother Abraham J. who settled in Fort Wayne. Looking for information on the descendents of Israel Sherbondy (1813-1892). I would like to contact any cousins still living in Kosciusko Co. There must be some, because when I saw his gravestone it had fresh decorations on it.

Searching for information on James H. JONES, b. OH or VA ca. 1815. Apparently came to Kosciusko Co. ca. 1836. First married to Eunice PERRINE ca. 1841, two daughters who died as children. After Eunice's death, James married Sybilla MILLER (widow, maiden name YOUNG) originally from Noble Co., IN. James and Sybilla apparently lived in Kosciusko Co. until 1855 when they went to CA by wagon train. Any information on James, his family, origins, background would be appreciated. Thank you.

George was the son of John LASH and Catherine ONSTOTT who died there in 1870. Margaret was the daughter of Daniel and Nancy WOLFKILL.
