Asbury Female Institute - Putnam

Asbury Female Institute – term will open Jan 2, 1861.  Tuition from 3 to 8 dollars.  According to the branches pursued. Since the importance and advantages of female education are being more fully recognized, we take this method of saying to those having daughters to educate and especially in Greencastle and vicinity: while we would scorn to ask patronage merely to sustain a school we do so with confidence, feeling prepared to render a full equivalent for all favors received.  Send your daughters and visit the school in person that you may see and know for yourselves.  JB DeMotte, Principal
