MILK is CHEAP TO PUPILS
Beginning Monday, February I4, pupils in each of the three Greencastle ward schools may purchase milk at a cost of 1c per half-pint, daily. In other words, in order to receive a half-pint of milk each day for one week, a pupil needs to bring but 5c per week to his room teacher. This reduction from 15c per week per pupil to 5c per pupil is made possible by an arrangement with the federal government's war distribution division, the purpose of which ls to provide better nutrition. It is hoped that all children will want to participate in the program.
As heretofore, the school milk service will be supervised by the Child Welfare Committee consisting of the elementary principals and representatives of each of the parent-teacher association groups. The officers of this group are Mrs. David Grimes, president; Mrs. W. E. Martin, secretary; and Mrs. Nelson Hardy, treasurer.
