Hammack - Miller Cemetery - click on photo to enlarge - Jackson Township - Section 30 The land on which this cemetery stands was originally owned by Martin Hammack who purchased the land 10 September 1838. After Martin's death, the land was sold to Martin's youngest daughter Matilda and her husband Isaac Miller. The small family cemetery is located in the middle of a plowed field just off old 59. Clustered beneath a canopy of scrub trees, there are just 5 fieldstones visible with only two of the 5 stones appearing to have readable markings - see below. There is only one readable stone - for Mahala Hammack. There are at least 4 other visible fieldstones - with only the surname Miller readable on one of those
* = no stone (listing based on personal research of James D. VanDerMark - 3rd great grandson of Martin Hammock)
