Scott Township Tidbits

1913-1914

The Township Principal was Robert E. Foster.
Teachers examinations were given on Jan. 31, Feb. 28, March 28, April 25, May 30, June 27 and July 25.

1917-1918

In some of the years the County Superintendent listed the traing and experience of the teachers;

Maude Kessler had 1 year and 24 weeks of college at North Manchester.
Jennie Clahan had 27 years of experience and 4 years of college training at Valpariso. She also attended the Ladoga Normal School.
Hazel Smith and Helen O`Herron had 18 and 24 weeks of college traing.

1927-1927

White School and Byrd School were both closed at the end of the 1927-1928 school year.

1938-1939

Parkersburg School closed at the end of the 1938-1939 school year.
