The first Bunker Hill School was probably discounted around 1889.  On June 27, 1889 John Weir II and Sussannah Weir, his wife, deeded land to Benton Snyder, the Ripley Township Trustee, for a second Bunker Hill School, located south of the Bunker or Stonebreaker Cemetery.
On June 7, 1915 trustee William McClure sold the land and the building back to John Weir II for a sum of $125.00.  A few years later the old school house was torn down and the lumber was used to build a home about 3/4 mile west of where the school stood.
Some students who attended the second Bunker Hill School were Agnes Gray, Edith Morrison, Marie Brown, Hazel Brown and Hazel Huckery.  The teacher was Roscoe Elmore.
