SADDLER

William C. Saddler, died at his residence near Stanford on Saturday last. Some three months ago, Mr. saddler was prostrated by a stroke of paralysis one entire half of his body being in a paralyzed condition. He gradually grew worse, until last Saturday morning when his spirit winged its way to a better land. Mr. Saddler was possessed of a kind, genial, nature one that found a friend wherever his calling led him; and to the thousands in Lawrence, Monroe, Owen, Green and surrounding counties with whom he was so intimately acquainted as a teacher of vocal music, his death will be a severe blow. His funeral took place on Sunday, and was attended by the Masonic Order, of which he was a faithful member. – Bloomington Progress, Volume 4, Number 45, 08 Mar 1871, Page 3
