Walter Harold Neal, 1-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fowler Neal, southwest of town, was interred Saturday at Mt. Bethel. The child died of pneumonia at the Neal boarding house, West 7th Street, Friday. - Bloomington Telephone, 09 April 1912, Page 001
NEILL
Mrs. Sarah Neill, aged 85, died yesterday evening at 6:15 at the home of her son, David, at Whitehall. Mrs. Neill leaves eight sons to mourn her death, David, James, Samuel, Daniel, Joseph, Charles, Alfred and Alva, all of this county. Funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 o'clock at Whitehall in charge of the Rev. Breeden. – Bloomington Evening World, 14 July 1910
NELSON
Stanley Nelson, 21-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nelson, four miles north west of the city near Woodyard, died at 7:30 last night of tuberculosis after a lingering illness. NORRIS
Hildreth Norris of Bloomington, formerly of Whitehall, died Monday at Bloomington Convalescent Center.Born in Gridar, Ky., she was the daughter of John Henry and Vestie (Parrigan) Stinson. She was raised in Burksville, Ky. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Shields of Bloomington; three sons, Joseph Norris of Spencer, Kenny Norris and Rondal Norris, both of Whitehall; one sister, Alta Fudge of Burksville; one brother, Elbert Stinson of Edmonton, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Norris, in 1992; one daughter, Hildaleen Norris; one half brother, Arthur Stinson; one half sister, Lether Coop; and two brothers, Albert Stinson and Henry Stinson. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with the Revs. Tom White and Kirby Tiller officiating. Burial will be at Whitehall Cemetery. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until services Thursday at the funeral home. 20 October 1998
