WOLF CREEK Cemetery

Source: Covington Friend 6 Oct 1893 p 8

A ghastly find was made in the Wolf Creek cemetery a few days since it being where some animal had dug into a grave, digging out the skull, three ribs, bones supposed to be of the arm, pieces of a coffin and a pair of child’s shoes. The child was judged to be about four years of age.  The grave is unknown and unmarked.  The question is: “What animal has taken up the habits of a hyena?  An attempt to catch the animal was arranged but we did not hear the result.    --- kbz
