Rutledge - Spies - Vice - Duncan
Mrs. Stella Rutledge, also of Attica, was granted a divorce from her husband, Edward Rutledge. Mr. Rutledge made no appearance in the case. The divorce suit of Laura Sims Spies of Attica against her husband, Addison Spies, was dismissed by the plaintiff and costs paid.
Cruel treatment, drunkenness and desertion were the grounds upon which Emma Duncan secured a divorce from her husband, Alfred Duncan. The defendant was not present at the trial but State’s Attorney Lawrence O. Marshall made an appearance for him as the law provides.
The divorce suit of Mary Vice against Albert Vice came up for hearing but the evidence as introduced did not satisfy the court as being sufficient to grant the plaintiff a divorce. She admitted when questioned by the court that her husband had not been .. rest gone – sorry
