Glen A. Myers on Findagrave memorial 55561973 but his first name was often spelled with an extra n and the last name often spelled Meyers or Myer.  Fairly sure he was born in Fountain County, Indiana and he died in auto crash in Hamburg, NY on 26 Aug 1939 at just age 34.  Buried Woodland Cemetery in Jackson, Michigan. The son of James Henry (1874-1965) and Flora Davis (1874-1927)- he had siblings, Charles Lee , Homer, Ruby Iona and Mabel. (condensed) Poole, declared the 5/8 mile Hammond bowl – one of fasted racing strips he had driven – he had a borrowed car – and was an Australian, winning 1937& 38 in England where he lived)… (list of other drivers) – “Hoosier drivers who top the list numerically include Steve Truchan of Gary, Mike Salay of So Bend, Everett RICE of Crawfordsville; Slim Rutherford … new event “Ash Can Derby” for cars 8 or older.  Fronty Fords are in the majority – Glenn Myers to drive the Hal Special in which he recently turned a lap of the half-mile track at Jackson MI in 27.56 seconds an unofficial world’s record for the distance over a flat dirt oval.....   ~~~transcribed by kbz
