I, Nancy Hawkins of the County of Fountain and State of Indiana do make and publish this my last will & testament in the manner and form following that is to say:
First: I give and bequeath equally to my nephew, William Walker, John Walker, Charles Walker and my niece, Ertie Mahan all of the money that I may have at the time of my death and all of the money that may at that time be due me, or in any manner, owed to me, that may be collected after my death except the amount that may be required to pay my just debts; funeral expenses and the costs of administration.

Second: I give and bequeath to said William Walker, one bed and bedstead: one quilt, one double coverlet; one blanket; one white bedspread, and one bureau.

Third:  I give and bequeath to the aid John Walker, one cook stove, and the furniture belonging to the same. One half dozen cane bottom chairs; and table; one stand; one bed area bedstead. One quilt: one white bed spread; one blanket; one double coverlet and all of cupboard ware including cutlery.

Fourth: I give and bequeath to the said Charles Walker, one lounge ? bed and bedding and bedding; three bed comforts one single coverlet; one half dozen split bottom chairs and one white bed spread.

Fifth: I give and bequeath to the aid Ester Mahan one trunk, one checkered bed spread and one set of silver tea spoons.

Sixth: I hereby appoint my nephew the said John Walker, Executor and it is my wish that no bond or security be required to secure his faithful execution of the trust hereby impaired (implored?) on him, that he be not required to make or fill any inventory of the property, money or effects of my estate and that he be not required to make any settlement or to make any accounting to or with any clerk of court. But I will and direct my Executor to retain and deliver the property and to retain and pay the money to the said legatees as I above will and bequeath.

Seventh: I further will and bequeath to the four (?) legtees above named all the property that I may own at the time of my death and not above specifically bequeathed.  And it is my will that my sister Martha Walker and she is hereby authorized to direct my executor to appropriate to his own use. Such article or articles of said property as she may see fit and that she shall designate such other articles of the same that she may wish _erted in any one of the three remaining legates and that said executor shall deliver as she may direct the said property to each and all ___ separately ? the said remaining three legatees; and the right of property shall because of such delivery. In distributing said property the said Martha Walker will direct that more or less of the same be set apart and give to each of the above named four legatees, but equal value will not be attempted.  Dated this 26th day of December 1877 … Nancy (mark) Hawkins, signed, sealed and delivered in our presence, as the last will and testament of Nancy Hawkins, and so declared by her in our presence, she being of sound and disposing mind and memory and we, hereby witness the same at the request of the said testator and in the presence and in the presence of each other. State of Indiana Fountain County – Be it remembered that on the 12th day of April 1893, George W. Merryman, one of the subscribing witnesses to the ___ and foregoing last will and testament of Nancy Hawkins late of said county deceased personally appeared before FW Macnaughty clerk of Circuit Court of Fountain County in the state of Indiana and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, upon his oath decreed and testified as follows that is to say: that on the 26th day of December 1897 he saw the said Nancy Hawkins sign her name to said instrument in writing as ___ for her last will and testament: and that this deponent at the same time heard the said Nancy Hawkins declare the said instrument to be her last Will & Testament and that the said instrument was at the same time at the request of the said Nancy Hawkins and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said RM Nebeker and TW Merryman in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto and that the said Nancy Hankins was at the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid of full age (that is more than 21 years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory and not under any ___ or restraint as said deponent verily believes and further deponent says not.
