G Divorce
GLOVER, Carrie - Elmer
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, 25 April 1902
Mrs. Carrie Glover, wife of Elmer Glover, of Veedersburg and ex-wife of Tom Stilwell, from whom she was divorced, has again gone to the court for relief from marital woes. She alleges that Glover has been cruel and inhuman to her, and that he was at all times jealous of her and forbid her to speak to men. She accuses him of often eavesdropping, and at one time alleges that he struck her in the face. She further alleges in her complaint that he attempted to set their home on fire and several times threatened to commit suicide. She asked for $1,000 alimony and that her name be changed back to Carrie Stilwell. The suit is indeed a surprise to her many friends, for no one had any idea that there was any trouble between them.
