Jonathan Woods and Wife to James Corey (sic)

This Indenture made this 24th day of August One thousand and Eight hundred and fifty, between Jonathan Woods and Eliza Woods of Fountain County and State of Indiana of the first part and James Cory (sic) of the County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of fifteen dollars to them duly paid before the delivering hereof have bargained and sold and by these methods do grant and convey to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever all of a certain tract or parcel of land, it being in Range Seven, Township Eighteen, section Sixteen, Southeast lot, commencing forty rods north from the Southeast corner, running twenty rods north thence ten rods west then to twenty rods South thence ten rods East to the place of beginning, containing One acre and One fourth of the same more or less with all the appurtenances, estate, title, and interest thereunto belonging to the party of the first part therein. And the said parties of the first part do hereby covenant and agree with the said party of the second part that at the time of delivery hereof the said parties of the first part is the lawful owners of the premises above granted and signed thereof in fee, simple absolute and that they will warrant and defend the above granted possession, with quietly peaceable protection of the said party of the second part, himself his heirs and assigned forever.
