Covington Aug 14 – Four divorce suits were filed in the circuit court this week and all of the mismated couples hail from Attica and Vicinity. Fred S. Purnell is the attorney for Dessie Romine, who seeks a divorce from her husband, William E. Romine and as grounds for the legal separation alleges abandonment and cruel treatment. She charges that her husband is of a roving disposition and that every summer since their marriage five years ago he has left her and failed to contribute anything for her or their two children. He left June 6th and said he was going for good and that he would never return.  Myrtle M. Burt through her attorney, AE Yount of Attica has filed suit for divorce from her husband, George Burt.  She alleges cruel treatment and failure to provide. Edgar Keefer wants the ties that bind him in matrimony to Eva Keefer cut asunder. Thomas J. Elmore, no relation to the famous bard of Alamo, says he drew a blank when he married Harriet Elmore and he wants loose.
