Boone County Photo Gallery - Unidentified
Photographs
I love old family photographs, they are one of my most
cherished items! Having the ability of being able to connect
a face to our written genealogy brings real life to the
pages. I hope you will discover a photograph of your
ancestor in this gallery, and I also hope you will share
your old family photographs with us. Use the
Submit Data link on
the top of the page to send copies of your photos. Any old photographs with a Boone County
connection are welcome ... individuals, buildings, houses,
geographical locations, cemeteries, gravestones, etc. The
only requirement is that we do not post photographs of
living individuals without their consent, and usually only
photographs of individuals taken more than fifty years ago,
and thus of more genealogical interest.
Do you recognize someone in the Photo Gallery? Can you add
more information? Send me
your comments and I'll add them here and on the
photograph entry.

Two Sisters - ca
1920's NEW!
We don't know for certain if these
little girls are sisters as they are unidentified.
Their dresses and little bob haircuts tell us this
photo dates from the 1920's. Do you think the elder
girl looks like the same girl in the "Brothers &
Sisters" photo below, front row left side??
Possible family names are:
Shoaf, Graves, Ballard, Joseph,
Johnson or McCreight. |

Young Lady with Ringlets - ca 1915
NEW!
This young mystery woman looks as if she may have
red hair ... what do you think? She's wearing a
large cross around her neck and a ring on her
finger. The dress with the big sailor collar and the
large bow in her hair indicate she's probably a
young lady in her teen years. Maybe this is a high
school graduation photograph.
Possible family names: Shoaf, Graves,
Ballard, Joseph, Johnson or
McCreight. |

Young Lady in
White - ca 1915-1925
NEW!
Nothing is known of this pretty young
lady. She's wearing what appears to be a white
dress, so perhaps this is a high school graduation
photograph. Could she possibly be in the photo of
the children below, front row right side, at a
younger age??
Possible family names: Shoaf, Graves,
Ballard, Joseph, Johnson or
McCreight.

Brothers &
Sisters - ca 1910-1920
NEW!
The two young ladies in the photo on
the left appear to be sisters, and due to their
dresses and hairstyle I would estimate this
photograph was taken between 1910-1915. The children
in the photograph on the right might all be siblings
or perhaps some cousins included. Due to their
outfits, I would estimate the date of this
photograph to be 1915-1920.
Possible family names: Shoaf, Graves,
Ballard, Joseph, Johnson or
McCreight. |

Graduation Day -
ca 1920's NEW!
It appears that this young man is
holding a scroll indicating this may have been a
graduation photograph. He's wearing short pants and
looks quite young, so he may have just graduated
from elementary school. Is it possible that he is in
the photo of the children above front row center at
a younger age??
Possible family names: Shoaf, Graves,
Ballard, Joseph, Johnson or
McCreight. |
