Boone County Photo Gallery ~ M-P

I love old family photographs, they are one of my most cherished items! Having the ability of being able to connect a face to our written genealogy brings real life to the pages. I hope you will discover a photograph of your ancestor in this gallery, and I also hope you will share your old family photographs with us. Use the Submit Data link on the top of the page to send copies of your photos. Any old photographs with a Boone County connection are welcome ... individuals, buildings, houses, geographical locations, cemeteries, gravestones, etc. The only requirement is that we do not post photographs of living individuals without their consent, and usually only photographs of individuals taken more than fifty years ago, and thus of more genealogical interest.

Do you recognize someone in the Photo Gallery? Can you add more information? Send me your comments and I'll add them here and on the photograph entry.

Possibly Margaret Murphy or Unknown "Heady"

From Sarah Jane (Shockley) Isley's photograph album (see more in unidentified photo section).

"May be Margaret Murphy, or a Heady. Grandmother Susie (Spangler) Isley was not sure, she said "Oh! Just put a name on it and lets be done!" Tee hee! I have saved it with the name taped on the back, but since I am not sure, I did not want to label it. Do you know who she is? I would love to know."

Dr. A. Frank Nelson, DVM, & Lenora (Patterson) Nelson - ca 1889

Frank Nelson was raised on the farm of my Grandfather, George K. Isley, Jamestown Indiana. The Isley Farm was east of Jamestown, just south of County Line Road in Hendricks Co. The close-up rendition was cropped after editing, to correct some damage on the original. This picture was identified by my Mother, Susie (Spangler) Isley before her death on April 13, 1984. She married Loren T. Isley and moved to the George K. Isley Farm in 1915 where Frank had previously lived.
