I am searching for the James/Jacques family. I am following my husband's line, I've concretely gone back to John Joseph James born 1859 in Perry County, Indiana. I am just about certain his father is John Joseph James born Belgium and is found living in Union, Perry County, Indiana in 1860 census with several children one being a John J born in 1859. So John J. James Jr. marries Isabele Beals, May 11, 1881 in Perry County, Indiana.
I am trying to find concrete linkage to John Joseph James Sr. or any info to his family, he married Mary Catherine Goffinet October 18, 1848.
Also looking for John Joseph James Sr (born 1818 died 1892) father whom I believe to be Joseph James (in the census) but his tombstone reads Joseph Jacques he is listed in some history of Leopold, Perry County history as Joseph James the merchant. The census also states he is a merchant. So trying to find out for certain if Joseph James and Joseph Jacques is the same person. Joseph James is born 1788 in Belgium and dies October 6 1858 in Leopold and is buried in St. Augustine Cemetery in Leopold.
Would love any contact with any living James family still living in the area also.

I am looking for information on both my grandparents sides. MY dad was born in Perry County, Charles F. Fulkerson, born: 3-30-38, his dad’s name was Sylvester William Fulkerson, born Perry County, His father name was Gilbert Fulkerson, My Grandmother was Mattie Agnes Jarret- born 9-3-1904, Austin Jarret was her father’s name. I am looking for information on Matthew E. Jackson who opened a tavern in Rome, Perry County in 1826 and lived in the county until about 1834 when he moved to Boone County, KY. (He is in the 1830 Perry County census.) I believe he was in Ohio prior to coming to Perry County. Any additional information on his pervious location in Ohio, his parents or children would be appreciated. Known children include:

His first wife may have been named Margaret, b. 1796-97 PA.
Matthew married Mary Jane Medick 27 Aug 1850 in Boone Co, KY. He died after 1852 when he last appears on the tax rolls of Boone Co, KY.
