I am looking for Eddyville, Indiana. Lewis A Sumner, who was married in Perry Company, was a resident of Eddyville when he enlisted in the Union Army as a private on 19 August 1861 in Company D, 25th Infantry Regiment.

Seeking information on a family with above surname possibilities. Living in the Perry County area in the 1850/1860 Federal Census. The family is of German descent. Was Perry County heavily populated by German emigrants? Lookinf for - Nicholas, Margaret, Elizabeth, James, John, Nicholas, Frank Swann
Remnants of the family moved into Louisville area and later to Boyle County,
KY and later to Indianapolis and Tennessee.
