Page 2 on the 45th ANNIVERSARY OF
JOHN HENRY & FLORA REYNOLDS TODD
The restored vase of memories, repaired and filled with red, velvet roses, artificial baby's breath, and other "stuff". The memories of Dad's (Frank's) gift from Rome live again. The memories of his World War II gift to his parentsin the 1940's; the memories of Gramma and Grampa's 45th wedding anniversary; the memories of the photos taken that day on February 6, 1952; and the memories of the Watkins' writeup in the April issue of the magazine, "The Co-operator", which praised Grampa being a top salesman for Watkins. This article also printed one of the anniversary photos, showing Gramma holding this vase of roses, next to Grampa, at their home in the snow in Logansport, Indiana. Lots of memories associated with this vase. This vase later was in Frank's (my Dad's) home in Logansport, Indiana; his daughter, Marie's home in Houston, Texas; and finally ended up in my possession in San Jose, California, and two cities in Michigan. Angela Todd, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The date of this photo is February 3, 2010.
Interesting tale - thanks, Angie !!
