Graves of Flora Etta Reynolds and John Henry Todd

Photos snapped on Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at Paint Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, four miles east of the little town of Camden, Carroll County, Indiana. My grandparents and other relatives attended the church, which once stood next to this cemetery. I have photographs that show the church & its members. John Henry Todd & Flora Etta Reynolds Todd, were my grandparents.

The dates I listed are correct, as you can also verify by looking at the gravestones. Other historical sites have listed these birth and death dates incorrectly.

TRIVIA: Baptisms were performed in the adjoining creek, behind the old part of the cemetery. There is a farm next door. I once talked to one of the guys on that farm who said that it was his family who deeded land to the Paint Creek people. I don't know if it was land for the church, the cemetery, parts of it, or all of it. Behind the old part of the cemetery is a simple fence...I think it's wire. Then you go down a small hill to the creek, where you see cows drinking. Also, around Memorial Day, in May, there are assorted peony bushes blooming throughout parts of the cemetery. The thick grass, rooted in sod, and cemetery grounds are kept in good shape. Even to this very day. Just wanted to give you some trivia. Angie
