Along last autumn Joseph Fossee sold his barber shop to Oscar Chapman and entered into an agreement to remain out of the business in Crawfordsville. Recently he returned from Louisville to take a chair in Goerge Neilest’s shop and thereupon Chapman, claiming that he had violated his agreement, had the court issue a restraining order that he be not allowed to follow his vocation. Fossee claims he had not entered into business save as an employee and that his agreement only required that he not go into business on his own account. Meanwhile Fossee is laying on his oars patiently awaiting circuit court to judge the merits of the case on Thursday of next week. He finds himself the best advertised man in the city in consequence and if he had any doubt of his personal popularity as a gentleman the same ought to be removed by this time.

Ladoga – Charles Foxworthy has been name carrier of local rural mail route No. 1, following a civil service examination and will begin his duties Jan 1. He succeeds Howard Home, postmaster. Lester Buck has been substitute carrier. Walter Carman will now be substitute for both local routes, and during the Christmas rush season is employed in the postoffice.
