Fire-Hall built 1874
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal 28 Nov 1874 p 1
The hall being fitted up by our enterprising firemen in the much criticized and much abused city building premises to be a thing of beauty. It is being papered and carpeted at great expense and bids fair to be the best finished hall in the city. The paper, with lavender tint ground and green and gold columus and borders, is furnished by Robinson & Wallace and is put up by the skillful hands of Hartman & Clemson and is a fine specimen of paper hanging. The carpet is furnished by Charley Crawford. It will be put down in a day or two. The firemen will give a reception, we understand when the hall is finished.
