I received the 1st edition of your production known as the Home Town Rag yesterday since arriving in France. To say that it looked natural would be unnecessary, to say that it looked good would be folly, to say that it was a welcome visitor to our home wouild have been ingratitutde. Really its effect was wonderful and in fact it is a wonderful sheet. It made our overseas edition of the NY Herald look like a tame cross roads, country town edition; it made our French paper, The Petit parisian blush with shame; and the British edition, The Daily Mail ,resemble a back number and take a back seat. In fact it is about the most classy edition I've ever laid my optics on. I can freely advise you that if all your subscribers appreciate it as I do, you can advance your subscription rates tp $10 per year abd advance them at once. This will enable us to install our new linotype machine at once, and the next time you go on a vacation and leave the edition to my care and discretion I can put it out with ease and comfort. It's really worth it and the populace would pay it rather than be without it or at least I would I'm sure. Hoping that you will weigh well this bit of advice, I beg to remain - sincerely, Walter W.
