- know he served and was gassed in the war - never really well afterwards. He died in November 1944 (obit in Crawfordsville Journal-Review 30 Nov p 11 c 1 (wife Mary Ellen Smith - get this obit) - fairly sure this is the correct Edward but can not find a gravesite on findagrave nor can I find a WWI Draft card; however, his Death Record does state he was in WWI. Kenton Co KY Death Record died St. Elizabeth Hospital where he'd been for two days. WWI. Lived 3310 latonia Ave, Covington. Age: 48 years 3 months 9 days. Died Nov 28, 1944 Bus Operator CN & CRR Co. Father: Virgil Sorrels b. KY Mother: Alice McClure born Ind buried Spring Grove Cem in Covington
