Ladoga, Nov 16 - Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Davis received a telegram this afternoon that their son, Roscoe Davis had been missing in action in France since Oct 24. He enlisted in March 1917 and has been in France since June. He was a member of Co. D. 4th US Infantry.

Ladoga - Mr. and Mrs. James Davis received a message Sunday telling them of the death of their son, Roscoe on October 24, 1918 in France. A message was received by them last fall saying he was missing in action and no further word had been received until the telegram Sunday which stated he was killed in battle. Roscoe, who was 23 years of age was born and raised here and spent his life in this community. He enlisted in the service and at the time of his death was a member of Co D 4th US Infantry. He is survived by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Hancock of Crawfordsville and 3 brothers, Rolla in service in France, Richard and Rutherford of this place
