m. Tamer Jane (Furnish), they had 6 children; Elizabeth, Ann, Mary F.,
James Andrew, Louis, and John William. He died 8-11-62(?)(1876 on headstone).
He and his wife are buried in Harmony Baptist Cemetery, Grant Co., IN.

Thomas Mann and his wife Nancy were reunited at Sparta WIS after a seperation
of 63 years. They married in Fairmount in 1863 and lost track of each other
after Mann enlisted and went to war. Believing each other dead, each re-married.
They were brought together accidentally through the pension bureau. Their mates
having died, they resumed married life. Buried at Corey Cemetery in Grant Co., Ind.

Roseburg in 1858. They had 9 children; Daniel Wesley, Mary Elizabeth,
John Coleman, James Monroe, Mahala Catherine, William Ellsworth,
Samantha Florence, Anna Ida, and George. After his medical discharge he returned
home to resume farming but health continued to decline and he died in 10-18-1880.

Charles D. Mather, born in Muncie, Ind. Feb. 24, 1833,
came to Marion when he was a boy of 19 yrs. Died 16 Dec. 1907.
Enlisted in Aug. 1862, 12th Reg. Ind. Vol. and was in service until
Oct. 1864, when he was discharged. He became 1st Lieut. in Co. C and
was later advanced to acting Captain.

Montgomery, Martin V. Born 3-26-41 in Guernsey Co. Ohio. Moved w/his parents
to Gr. county in 1854. Enlisted in Co. H., 16th Reg., later consolidated
with Co. D of 16th Reg. At battle of Murnfordsville, he was taken prisoner,
and confined for 17 days, later taking part in operations on the Mississippi
and was again captured by the Conf. at New Iberia, La., where he was held 3
months before receiving his exchange. At close of war, returned home and
married Miss Martha J. Taylor. She died and he moved to Michigan in 1873 and
married Mary E. Camper. he never had children of his own. While a resident
of Big Rapids, Mich. he met with an accident which cost him an arm. He returned
to Grant County, In. and pursued farming on the soldier's Home pike, about
5 miles SE of Marion. Died 10-24-1913. Buried Pucket Cemetery, Grant Co., IN

Thomas M. Montgomery, born Oct.23, 1844, Vinton Co., Ohio, the son of James
and Jane (Smith) Montgomery and the brother of Martin V. Montgomery. While a
resident of Grant County, he enlisted as a private on August 30, 1862 in Company
C, 89th Regiment Indiana Infantry. He was mustered out on July 19, 1865 in Mobile,
Alabama. Thomas died Jan. 30, 1933

Zachariah Moorman, married, living in Jewel Co., Kansas in 1914. He was a
gallant soldier during the Civil War and in one engagement within five minutes
time was shot in six different places, and never afterwards has been in good health.
Zachariah also had a brother serve in the Civil War. His name was Stephen
and he died while serving. Both sons of Lewis and Sarah (Thomas) Moorman.
