WOLF, Elsie Coffing - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Elsie Wolf, 625 Vandalla St., will be honored at an open house Sunday in celebration of her 90th birthday. The open house will be at the home of Mrs. John Strube, on the south edge of Fulton, from 1 to 4 p.m. and will be given by Mrs. Strube and Mrs. G. W. Wolf. Born on Jan 6, 1888, Mrs. Wolf is the daughter of the late William and Julia Coffing. She was married to Frank Enyart who died in 1929. She was married to Walter Wolf on Feb. 8, 1955; he died May 9, 1966. She has one stepson, G. W. Wolf, 1432 N. third St., five step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. Born in Fountain County, she moved to Fulton County with her parents. She attended beauty college in Indianapolis and owned the Bide-A-Wee Beauty Shop in Logansport for 23 years. Mrs. Wolf enjoys basketball and baseball and attends all of the Logansport Berries basketball games. She hasn't missed a Berries home game in three years. Mrs. Wolf attends Metea Baptist Church. She also finds time for membership in several organizations. She is a member of the Owls Club, Keystone Club and Pythian Sisters and serves as news reporter for the Elkettes and is in charge of the Elkettes afternoon card parties. She belongs to three euchre clubs and plays cards two to three times a week. She also worked on United Way this year.
