WESTFALL, Virgil - runs away

Attica, April 16 – Virgil Westfall, 40, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Westfall who disappeared last Thursday from the Fountain County Infirmary was found late Monday afternoon hiding in a woods five miles south of Covington, along a creek.  He was weakened from exposure and lack of food but his condition was not considered serious.  Returned to the infirmary, he was given medical attention.  
Note: Virgil was born Feb 8, 1900 in Attica.  When he registered for WWII, he was listed as 5’7” and 135# Brown Eyes, Brown hair and sallow complexion.  He could not read/write and signed with an X and lived at the Poor House.
