The latest cold blooded fake from Shawnee Mound is to the effect that the Shawnee Church is haunted presumably by Mrs. Pettit's ghost. The intelligent people of the community take no stock in the story and hoot at the idea. It is probably the story of some silly school boy who returning home after dark was scared by a shadow and thought he saw a ghost.
