(Covington Friend) The claim of Mrs.
Effie Moore, Kingman, against Lemuel Pithoud, administrator of the estate of
Gordon Moore, an eleven year old grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Moore, who died several
years ago, was heard here in the circuit court on Wednesday. Mrs. Moore had the
care of the boy for several years, following the death of his parents, and she
filed a claim amounting to $2,092 The administrator allowed her $600, but
disallowed the remainder, and an appeal was taken to the court. Upon the
evidence submitted, the court allowed her claim in full and she was given a
judgement for $1,492.00, which amounts to practically all of the estate that
was left the boy by his parents. Mrs. Moore is the mother of Jack Moor of this
city, and she often visits here. – jlr
